About this trip

We have only 2 spots left in a double room as of October 7th, 2024! Don't wait to sign up!

Have your " Eat, Pray, Love" moment in Italy, immerse yourself in local life and history, making memories to last a lifetime! Join Aline for a 6 night stay in rural Italy in the Tuscan Hills on an organic farm with a rich history. Ebbio is Italy’s oldest retreat center, started as an organic commune style living experience before it was trendy, it has evolved into an eco-conscious working farm that hosts heath and wellness gatherings.

Ebbio is a 12th century colonic-style complex, immersed in the ancient Holm oak woods right at the gate of Montemaggio hill. This magical farm sits between Between Siena and Florence, just

1.8 km away from the medieval village of Monteriggioni. Ebbio is an organic farm of 7 hectares, they cultivate olive trees, herbs, fruits and vegetables, used in the preparation of the vegetarian

meals offered during your stay.

With a yoga studio and all props built into the facility, we will have the luxury of walking to the studio, practicing before breakfast and again in the early evening. Days will be filled with activities if you choose to participate and if you’d like to stay on the property, read, rest and relax that is an option too!

The intention is to reset, renew and replenish on this trip. This experience is designed to gift you what a true Tuscan “ local “ lifestyle feels like, without all the stress of commercial tourism, yet still get to go on adventure and see this side of the world!

Expect to make amazing memories and friends, enjoy nourishing organic farm to table vegetarian meals with all our good grown on property and hand selected daily. This is a once in a lifetime journey that I know you will cherish for years to come!

Our inclusive retreat includes most meals, lodging, yoga classes, a cooking class and options for excursions into Siena, to local mineral Hot springs, hiking in ancient forests on the property, and walking distance to a local organic winery.

Sustainability

At Ebbio, they believe in responsible travel, and strive to demonstrate the model for sustainable living. Guests can participate in work on the farm, get their hands dirty and bring the lessons home to live a more mindful life. Ebbio is committed to nine criteria for measuring their impact as an organization: energy, water, food, waste, carbon footprint, education, health, employment and happiness. They are constantly working to improve their systems with renewable energies, heating via biomass, waste recycling, gray and black water treatment and reuse, compost and permaculture. They work closely with the local community, farmers and artisans alike to raise awareness and create a positive impact through workshops.

Because Tuscany has been in a state of drought for so long, water is incredibly precious. You are encouraged to bring or purchase a reusable water bottle to carry with you throughout your stay. Double osmosis filtered water will be available all day long to refill your bottle.

Accommodations

Ebbio is a 12th century colonic-style complex, the main house is a two story building offering 9 beautiful rooms to sleep in, 5 full bathrooms with showers, a dining and lounging area, a 100m2 wooden floor activity room (fully equipped for yoga sessions), a massage room, and a beautiful patio for outside meals and gathering.

On the 2nd floor is where the bedrooms are located, there is a large (80 m2) communal area

with a huge fireplace, couch and table for dining and lounging.

Because the rooms are all similar, to book a room choose if you'd like one roommate or 2, there are options for duo's or trio's. Be sure to send a message if there is a specific person(s) you would like to room with or if you are joining solo and open to sharing a room with another solo traveler of the same gender. All rooms have the options to have a single double bed or two or three twin beds.

Each room has its own beautiful view of the estate, beds, an antique dresser and closet. There are 3 full spacious bathrooms with showers upstairs and 2 full bathrooms with showers downstairs. The aesthetic of each room are similar yet unique with choice antique furniture pieces offering a historic farmhouse feel with decor inspired by nature, plants, organic linens, woven rugs and contemporary style wall tapestries.

Because of the age of this historic building and retreat center the bathrooms are outside the bedrooms and shared. We will get a chance to enjoy the week in true yogic community and connection resting our heads and hearts in this gorgeous building and piece of history!
