Shayna, (E-RYT 200, RYT 500) Shayna began her Yoga journey in 2011 with a desire for a quiet place to escape the mind after spending over a decade in the restaurant industry. After moving to Washington DC, a friend suggested she'd try Yoga, and she was instantly hooked! The practice allows her to break free from the anxiety of everyday life, and silence the constant thoughts racing from a busy industry. Eager to continue her journey, Shayna jumped into her 200-hour teacher training in 2014. In 2018, Shayna completed her 500-hour teacher training with her thesis topic on "The Business of Yoga". Shayna loves helping students and teachers alike as they further their journey into Yoga.
Lisa, (E-RYT 200, RCFY 200, YACEP) is a master yoga instructor and professional trainer with particular expertise in yoga for special populations, including children, families, seniors, and those challenged by developmental differences, illness and injury. Her wealth of expertise is founded in the traditions of Kripalu and Kundalini Yoga as well as Ashaya Therapeutic Yoga, Pranakriya Yoga, and Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra. As a Yoga Alliance Certified Education Provider and member of the International Board of Certified Trainers, as well as a published author on yoga and mindfulness, Lisa is committed to building strong healthy communities through innovative yoga programs that bring healing and confidence to children and adults. Her soothing and powerfully effective gentle yoga classes and yoga Nidra guided relaxations, captured on her CD entitled Create Calm, have restored, renewed, and rebalanced individuals nationwide. Lisa’s teachings are designed to empower her students to connect with their own potential for health and happiness and to connect positively with the world around them to create calm in our communities, building a culture of inclusion, acceptance, empowerment, and peace and establishing a protocol of self-love and resilience in every student.

A queen size handmade bed with 8 foot column posts sets the classic tone of this beautiful, luxurious room with shower bath (note: there is no shower in this room, only a bathtub).
The adjoining Sitting/Soaking room has a large double whirlpool tub in black granite surrounded by marble, in front of a gas fireplace. You might wish to step out onto your private balcony in our robes or enjoy a private massage in the sitting room or on the balcony.

Like a garden cottage of the 1930's in yellow, soft green and blue, this king bedded room with electric fireplace has its own terrace outside a private door.
The exposed ceiling beams with dates which predate the home were reused from a tobacco barn. The spacious bathroom and shower are lined in green slate. Three deep window seats add to the easy, comfortable feel of this popular room.
