About this trip

Spend a beautiful summer day wine tasting and enjoying local eats in Baja's Valle de Guadalupe. 


Only a 90 minute drive from San Diego, Mexico’s premier wine region. Valle de Guadalupe awaits all food and wine enthusiasts. In the last decade the wine region has experienced incredible growth making it one of Mexico's hottest destinations. It's become an epicenter of northern Baja for boutique wineries, gourmet restaurants and boutique hotels, garnering the attention of publications from the The New York Times to Condé Nast Traveler.

Day trips available on Saturday's and depart from San Diego, CA.


Valid Current Passport is Required.

We cannot guarantee how long it will take to cross the Mexico-US Border. Waiting times vary anywhere between 2-4 hours can be the norm.

Itinerary

Valle de Guadalupe
A Day in Valle

We will meet at near the San Ysidro -US Border Crossing where you can leave your car (at your own expense) at public parking lot.  We will be returning to the same location.


8:15 - Meet at specified location on the San Diego side of the US-Mexico border.


8:30am - Estimated time of arrival in Tijuana


9:00am  - Stop for a quick light breakfast at a local Mexican eatery in Tijuana.


10:30 am- Make our way to Valle 


12:00pm - Arrive in Valle - Stop at Boutique Winery (1 hour and 30minute stop)


2:30pm  - Lunch at local Valle restaurant with local wine (2 hours)


4:30pm - Head back to Tijuana (90 min scenic drive)


6:30pm  - Cross border via car from Tijuana to San Diego (Wait times vary 2-4 hours estimated)


Our goal is to get back to San Diego by approximately 8:30pm but keep in mind that times vary depending on how long we have to wait at the border, so we cannot guarantee return time.

Our trip to Guadalajara m and Tequila was amazing. I learned so much about Tequila and cultural history about both cities. Loved that we also got to partake in some spa R&R in both places.
