The Water Polo Experience Academy is your gateway to elite water polo training in the vibrant city of Barcelona. Our unique program offers:
- World-Class Training: Train twice daily with top coaches, including morning sessions with the Academy and afternoon training with a local club team. Elevate your skills and game strategy.
- Cultural Immersion: Live in a supervised, dorm-style apartment with other athletes, experiencing the rich culture and lifestyle of Barcelona. Enjoy planned activities and excursions.
- Flexible Enrollment: Choose a semester (3-5 months) or full-year (10 months) program to fit your academic and athletic goals.

Wake Up @ WPE House
7:30am: Wake Up & Breakfast in the WPE House
Athletes will wake up and get ready for their day at the WPE House. WPE House is where all Water Polo Academy athlete stay. Traditional breakfast foods (cereal, oatmeal, fruit, toasts, etc..) are available to the athletes every morning.

Waterpolo Experience specializes in International Water Polo training trips, camps and Water Polo Academy in Barcelona. Founded by Steve Lacy (SF Water Polo) and Pere Estrany (Spanish National Team, CNB/Hanover), the Waterpolo Experience focuses on delivering the highest quality experience (competition, coaching, food, culture) for our athletes. Kids of all ages are welcome to train at our world class training facility Club Natacio Barcelona, which is also home to the brand new Water Polo Experience Academy (Gap Year/Semester abroad).

The Xavi Garcia High School Water Polo Clinic delivers an exceptional experience for aspiring athletes. As a former Olympic medalist and world-class player, Garcia brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the pool, making this clinic both educational and inspiring.

Definitely not what we were hoping for. Too much time was wasted at the start of the event with coaches hanging out on the wall. A clear game plan should have been discussed long before the start of the event. When I asked my son if they helped with his shot he said no. Definitely not worth the money and time spent in traffic.

I can't say enough good things about the water polo camp my son attended! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this camp was expertly organized and led by passionate coaches who truly care about the athletes. Both of my kids (14g and 15b) attended the Thanksgiving "Waterpolo Experience" waterpolo camp Pere, Steve and Xavi were fantastic. The training really opened up my kids eyes to new ideas and techniques and ways to do waterpolo. They had fun and learned a lot. We're on board for more.
