Whole Hearted You: Coastal Redwoods Yoga Retreat
Calling out to all big-hearted, tree-hugging, magic-making humans! Retreats are one of my favorite ways to re-connect with and re-member (literally: to put back together) ourselves as the heart-centered, creative, resilient, powerful, hilarious, talented, smart, good looking and altogether fabulous human beings that we innately are. That's right. Remember that person inside of you? The one that came before the job, the kids, the pets, the to-do lists, the "you should be X,Y,Z at this point in your life".... Yup, they're still in there! Let's go in and find them.
During this 4-day retreat, we will:
... sweat, stretch, strengthen and restore our bodies with a twice daily yoga practice (a balance of fiery Vinyasa Flow in the mornings and yoga nidra/restorative in the evenings, as well as 2 afternoon yin yoga classes with guest instructor Sheana O'Sullivan to allow for deep tissue release and stimulate the body's energy pathways, particularly those related to the Heart);
... clear our minds and break free of the shackles of accumulated stress, feelings of isolation, and the layers of misunderstanding about who we are and why we are here;
... delight our senses and fill our bellies with delicious and nutritious home-cooked meals by our very own personal chef;
... expand the capacity of our hearts to hold all the joy and all the sorrow, to belly laugh and ugly cry, and to reflect with childlike awe and wonder on the meaning of life;
... dance wildly and sing loudly, rest deeply and connect authentically in the presence of both old and new found friends and soul family;
... muster up our collective courage for a morning cold plunge in the ocean and then melt into a deep yin yoga afternoon practice;
... soak up the warmth of the October sun with deep reverence, and stargaze under the night sky while singing songs around the campfire or silently contemplating the vastness of the universe;
... experience ourselves as whole and be nourished - body and mind, heart and soul, individual and collective - in this magical and newly renovated retreat center tucked into the serene Redwoods and just 5 minutes from the almighty Pacific.
Whether you bring a tent for solo camping, reserve a private cabin together with a friend or lover, or sign up for one of our summer-camp style shared rooms, this retreat is an opportunity for you to come as you are, where you can be free to reflect on, explore and express your innermost self, and where all bodies and all beings are welcome.
