About this trip

Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life? –Mary Oliver

We loved it so much, we're going back again!!

Join Mel Wegimont and Tara Beaulieu in the seaside jungle paradise of Haramara, acclaimed by Yoga Journal as one of the 10 best yoga retreats in the world. During our 7 days together, we invite you to unplug from the outside world and immerse fully into a deep and joyful practice of self discovery; unearthing your true, wild nature.

Come together to practice yoga and create sacred space for the magic to show itself. There will be plenty of free time to explore, take excursions, enjoy massage and other healing sessions, or simply relax on the beach, at the pool, or in your beautiful casita. Be supported daily by guided yoga, meditation, breath work, and mindfulness to connect and honor the nature within and the nature around us.

Allow physical and mental stress to melt away and your divine inner wisdom to emerge. Leave feeling more joyful, alive, excited about your life, reconnected to your unique purpose and supported by your new friends. This is a rare and precious opportunity to unplug. Wifi and electricity are limited, so you can opt to be entirely free of technology as you reconnect with yourself. With jungle and ocean sounds soothing your days and nights, you can sink into a more primal experience that invites inner peace.

If you yearn for the freedom and permission to express your true nature, then come play in the safe, magical environment of Haramara Retreat Center, Sayulita, Mexico. The perfect place to rediscover the truth of your magnificence!

Meet Your Hosts

Mel Gorman Wegimont, E-RYT 500, has been teaching transformative yoga classes for 11 years.  She completed her 200-hour teacher training with Cathy Cesario of Spirit Tree Yoga and her 500-hour Prana Flow® teacher training with Coral Brown. She is trained in Restorative Yoga through Jillian Pransky, is a certified Reiki Master and a co-teacher in the Pranotthan 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training.  Mel’s journey with yoga has led her to study in Rishikesh, India and beyond. She regularly leads workshops and trainings at her home studio, All That Matters, in Wakefield RI and yoga retreats around the world.

Mel became a student of yoga and the healing arts in 1999, when a friend brought her – one week after a breast-cancer diagnosis – to her first yoga class. In that class Mel discovered the healing power of yoga, and today she is not only radiantly healthy but also joyfully sharing the healing benefits of yoga with students and mentoring others coping with cancer.  Mel’s practice and teaching are informed by study with numerous teachers, and her classroom setting is one of safe and sacred space where her students encounter a mixture of levity, reverence, and honesty as Mel guides them to their own experience of yoga. She encourages students to take their yoga – this practice of finding what they need in body, spirit, and heart – off their mats and into their lives.

Tara Beaulieu, E-RYT 200, is a graduate of the Pranotthan Yoga School at All That Matters. Her teachings are informed by extensive study of sacred texts, yogic philosophy, and modern day yoga and movement modalities with teachers like Doug Keller and Trina Altman. She is trained in Deep Play for Kids, Yin Yoga and Meditation, Restorative Yoga, and is currently completing her 500-Hour teacher training with Alanna Kaivalya. Tara is also a co-teacher in the Pranotthan 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training.

A lifelong student of yoga and the arts, Tara’s practice is guided by her creative process: finding a balance between intuitive living and mindful action. Making the choice nearly 20 years ago to step out of the workforce and stay home with her three boys and pursue her art, she learned that the secret to living a consciously happy life is to practice listening to one’s self. She believes that doing the work to make space for inner knowing, learning to trust instincts, and above all honoring personal truth paves a clear path for happiness in our lives. When we learn to interpret the signals that are inherent to our being (tuning in to our life force) we awaken an awareness and understanding that allows us to heal from within.

In addition to teaching yoga classes and leading retreats, Tara is a mother of 3 boys, a sea glass artist and silversmith.

The Green Mountain Goddess Retreat was relaxing, restorative and a fun friendship sleepover! Michelle, Amy and Tara were our leaders in amazing restorative yoga practices, forest bathing and a festive dance party around the firepit. These yoga retreats are something that I look forward to each year and am thankful that I am able to have attended so many. Keep up the great work ladies, you are true healers in all things that matter!

A delightful retreat with an amazing group of “goddesses”. The food, the mansion, the evening fires, forest bathing around Equinox Pond all added to a very special experience. I look forward to my next yoga adventure with ATM.

Goddess Garden was a truly magical, beautiful setting nestled in Cahuita, Costa Rica. Marcello and Jaqueline were gracious hosts and their staff exceptional and always helpful. The meals were outstanding and even as the power went out for a third time, candles were lite and a hot meal was at the ready. The chefs prepared healthy, delicious meals and a big shout out to Marcello whose hot sauce I enjoyed every day!!! The rooms were comfortable, spacious and allowed for the amazing sounds of nature to fill in around us. I loved the downpours each morning which continued to lull me to sleep but then only to awaken to the howler monkeys and birds singing gloriously. The pool and grounds were well groomed, cleaned, swept daily. Walking the trails at Goddess Garden allowed me to unwind and detach from the world outside. The yoga shala's were spacious and had all the props that one could need for their yoga practice. A very large thank you goes out to Michele, Amy, and Mel for being our yogi leaders, trip advisers and safety nets. You three beautiful women inspire me......love you all. Till the next adventure.......
