Yoga and Wildlife Retreat  

This has been a dream of mine since as long as I can remember:  To visit Africa and stay on or near an Elephant Sanctuary.  Randomly, Sheldrick Wildlife came through my IG feed …. no idea why … but I’d like to think it was by magic.  And here we are … going to Kenya, to stay within the grounds of Tsavo National Park for (6) nights and (7) days along the banks of the Galana River.

Unique Indeed: 

This year, I adopted an elephant for my mom for Mother’s Day.  So … I thought, with this retreat, why not adopt an elephant for every participant who attends this retreat.  Leading up to the retreat, you will  receive; a personalized adoption certificate, access to unique content, the latest Keepers' Diaries, videos and photos, and monthly email updates on your orphan and the project.  And then, when you arrive Tsavo East, you will be able to visit one of the Elephant Reintegration Units, meet your adopted elephant and learn more about the project first-hand. 

Nutritious Meals 

Laura Bunting, owner of Safari Catering Co. personally designs all the menus.  Having led numerous Wildlife and Safari Retreats, I’d say this woman knows what she’s doing.  We will have meals at the Camp and also experience “Sundowners” in the Park.

If you choose a payment plan ON the 10% off Summer Special, that payment plan must be paid off /in full but 8/21/2025; otherwise the price returns to the regular pricing and the payment plan is then based on the new pricing. ALL payment plans must be paid in full two months prior to retreat beginning.

Loose Itinerary

Since we are literally in Tsavo Park, most of our day will be spent on safaris, wildlife, and exploring the park.  Each day will be different but it could include game drives, enjoying a bush breakfast, watching the sunset, or visiting the Elephant Reintegration Unit, where you can meet your adopted Elephant! 

We have lunch in the camp and rest after a long, luxurious morning of exploring!  You will have time to yourself to rejuvenate, connect with others, swim in the pool, or treat yourself to a massage.  Our afternoon yoga will be more restorative and relaxing.

The conservation-focused properties we stay in Tsavo East National Park, operated by Sheldrick Trust, ensure that all proceeds from our stay directly contribute to wildlife preservation and support various projects within Tsavo.

International Flights to and from Kenya

Hotels in Nairobi before and after the trip (we will provide recommendations)

Transfer to and from Nairobi SGR Station (we can support in arrangements)

Any and all tips 

All retreats are non-refundable once purchased.

For all retreats, if force majeure (e.g. pandemic, natural disasters, travel restrictions, etc.) causes a retreat to be canceled, we will offer a rescheduled date for the retreat. In this case, we will not refund payments when it is due to causes beyond our control. If the rescheduled retreat date does not work for you, full or partial credit (not a refund) towards another one of our retreats at any destination may be possible.  

If you need to cancel, refunds are not offered unless you find someone to take your spot or we fill the spot. 

A minimum $500 processing fee will be assessed for all cancellations if we have to find you a replacement.

We cannot reimburse any travel costs associated with your stay. For this, we recommend travel insurance.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Any credits expire one year after your original arrival date. Refunds or credits will not be given after that time.

There are no refunds or discounts given for arriving late or early departure or for guests who choose not to partake in meals or events..

Dana Damara Evolution is not responsible for any travel expenses related to attending one of our retreats.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Please consider travel insurance to protect the investment in your vacation plans. Travel (or trip) insurance is available from several companies. We recommend that you carefully review their policies as many provide different levels of protection.
