Payments Policy
Each tour has a deposit of $750 per person which is payable at booking. The balance of payment is due 90 days prior to the start of the tour.

Booking your next adventure with us is now smoother than ever. Tours will continue to be listed on our website as before. When you click ‘book now’ on the tour page you will transition to the new WeTravel booking page for that tour where you can select the package and options that you wish to book.
We highly recommend creating an account during the signup process. This enables you to track the status of your bookings and make any necessary changes whenever you need to. Rest assured, WeTravel respects your privacy and won't inundate you with marketing emails.

Non USA Payments
Most of our tours are listed in US dollars but if you want to pay in your local currency by the bank debit method then it is as easy as selecting the flag of your country’s currency on the top right of the window when you are making payment. Alternatively, you can request our $US account details to make a wire transfer from outside the USA.
2nd Participant Payments
A booking will only show under the account of the person who made the booking, not the second participant. There are 2 options for payment in this case -
Timings
The payment timing will stay the same, with a deposit of $750 pp payable at booking and the balance payable by 90 days before the tour starts. You will receive an automated reminder 30 days before the balance is due.We believe this new system will streamline your booking experience. Cancellation Policy
If you wish to cancel your booking, you need to confirm the cancellation in writing by email or letter. If you contact Iberian Wine Tours prior to confirming your cancellation we can advise you of the cancellation charges applicable to your situation. The cancellation charge is based on the number of days prior to the starting day of the trip booked. The charges are per person cancelling, as follows:
90 days or more – loss of deposit
89-60 days or more – 25%
59-30 days – 50%
29 days or less – 100%
Refund Policy
From time to time, tours do not reach the minimum number of bookings necessary to make the trip viable. We reserve the right to cancel or alter a tour in these circumstances. If we cancel the tour or make substantial alterations, we will advise you at least 60 days before departure and will offer you alternative dates or a full refund.

Day 1 (Sun 31st May) Madrid
Meet in Madrid to stay one night at the delightful and well located Hospes Puerta de Alcalá hotel. Meet in the lobby at 19:00 and take a short taxi ride to the first of 4 different tapas bars in the bustling Las Letras district of the city. (D)
Day 2 (Mon 1st June) Ávila and Salamanca
Set off for the remote and excellent Bernabeleva winery in the Gredos mountains where we
enjoy a tasting of several different styles of wine, some direct from the cask, including red and white Garnacha, sweet Moscatel and a rancio style wine. On to Ávila for a short walk around the old town, followed by lunch incorporating a tasting of the Sierra de Gredos / Cebreros wines. After lunch we drive to Salamanca, home of Spain’s oldest university and a stunning old town. We stay in the elegant Palacio de San Esteban. We savour a number of wine bars ending inevitably in the Plaza Mayor for a digestivo or two. (B, L, D)
Day 3 (Tues 2nd June) Jamón & mountain wines
After breakfast we set off by bus for ham country. First stop is at Simon Martin, a longstanding family business and winner of the best jamón in Spain in 2012. We see the full production sequence from the salting room to the ageing cellars, culminating with an extensive tasting. Ham heaven. Drive into the heart of the Sierra de Salamanca mountain range where we arrive at the delightful village of Mogarraz. We visit La Zorra winery for a tasting, enjoying the Rufete reds that are making a real name for the region. After we conclude the tasting we settle down to a serious lunch at the winery’s Mirasierra restaurant, overlooking the mountains and source of some succulent grilled beef. After a brief stroll through the old village we drive back to Salamanca for a free evening. (B, L)
Day 4 (Wed 3rd June) Ribera del Duero & Rioja
After breakfast, we enjoy an intimate visit to the Abadia Retuerta winery, including a walk in the vineyards, a visit to the winery and a tasting to include all the top of the range single Pago wines. We taste a selection of single estate wines and the award winning Selección Especial, which has been ranked “best wine in the world” by Decanter.
We drive to one of the region's best loved and most prestigious wineries, Pago de Carraovejas. We enjoy lunch at owner José Maria’s Michelin starred restaurant Ambivium. Check into our luxury hotel in the tiny village of Villabuena de Alava for the next two nights in Rioja. In the evening, we get together for casual tapas. (B, L, D)
Day 5 (Thur 4th June) Modern & traditional Rioja
Muga is a great name in the wine world and known for their traditional-style wines. The visit concludes with an extensive tasting from across the full Muga range. This is a wine lover’s dream.
We head back into Rioja Alavesa to Samaniego and more stunning views from an architectural gem at Baigorri. We enjoy a tasting menu lunch, featuring a modern take on traditional Rioja cuisine, accompanied by the top wines in Baigorri’s range. Riojan chic. Free evening (B, L)
Day 6 (Fri 5th June) San Sebastián
Morning visit to Luis Cañas a family winery since 1928. Five of Spain’s 3 Michelin star restaurants carry Luis Cañas wines, now a Riojan benchmark. We have a premium tasting and light lunch before the drive north to San Sebastián. Check in to Hotel de Londres y Inglaterra Hotel, overlooking the stunning La Concha beach. In the evening enjoy a gourmet pintxos (tapas) tour of the old town, visiting 5 or 6 bars and restaurants in maybe the best place in the world to enjoy them. (B, L, D)
Day 7 (Sat 6th June) Best of the Basque Country
Morning visit to top txakoli producer, Txomin Etxaniz on hillsides overlooking the Cantabrian Sea. in a stunning location. Return to San Sebastián for some free time before our dinner at Rekondo (visiting the cellar first), which has Spain’s most extensive and best known wine cellar. We match some stunning wines from Ribera and Rioja to a sumptuous Basque menu. (B,D)

End of tour after breakfast.
