Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival to Puerto Natales and accommodation at Factoría Hostel

Enjoy a free day in Puerto Natales to do the activities of your choice.
Do not hesitate to ask us for our available tours!

Day 2: Arrival the Torres del Paine National Park Trek to the Base Of the Towers

After breakfast at the hostel, a private transport will be waiting for you to take you to the Torres del Paine National Park.  Here you will continue your trip to the Visitor’sCenter. After about a 5 minutes’ walk, you will arrive at Torre Central, where your trekking will begin.

Today's hike begins through the Ascencio Valley, enjoying its extensive forests. During the final ascent, you cross an immense field of giant rocks until you reach one of the most emblematic viewpoints in the world, the famous Base of the Towers lookout.
Take beautiful photos and enjoy your box lunch before returning along the same path, where a private transfer will be waiting for will take you back to Puerto Natales.

Day 3: Catamaran Hike to Grey

After breakfast at the hostel, remember to ask for your box lunch, and a private transfer will be waiting for you to take to Pudeto where you will board the “Hielos Patagónicos” catamaran that will sail for approximately 35 minutes through the Pehoé lake, arriving directly to Paine Grande refuge.

Here will begin your hike to Grey.

Start your journey through a narrow and winding valley that leads to Los Patos Lagoon. As you keep moving forward, you will begin to see parts of the immense Southern Ice Field, as well as the ice floes of Grey lake. After passing the sometimes very windy viewpoint, the path descends through a mountainous forest until it reaches the refuge. From here, if you continue walking for about 10 minutes, you will reach the Grey glacier lookout, where you are face to face with one of the arms of the Southern Ice Fields. Dinner will be served at the refuge between 6:00 and 9:00 pm.

Day 4: Grey to Paine Grande

Enjoy breakfast in the dining room of Grey refuge and do not forget to request your box lunch! In case you did not have the chance to visit the hanging bridges the day before, you can take the morning to go and explore the spectacular panoramic views of the Grey glacier.

Today, you will follow the same path as yesterday to go back to Paine Grande. Rest and enjoy dinner in the dining room of the refuge.

Day 5: Hike to the French Valley Catamaran - Return to Puerto Natales

Today's hike will be round trip, starting and finishing at Paine Grande, so we recommend
to begin early!

After breakfast, ask for your boxlunch and get ready for this last adventure before returning to Puerto Natales.
After approximately 2.5 hours of walking, you will arrive to the Italiano camp (park rangers), where you will begin your journey to the French Valley.
Climb through a massive boulder field and then continue through the forest until you reach the French plateau. Here, you will be rewarded with incredible views of Los Cuernos (the Horns), turquoise glacial lagoons and amazing hanging glaciers that fall down the east side of Paine Grande Mountain (3.050 m.a.s.l.m). If you are lucky, you will hear the loud sound of the glacier and the falling water, as well as it is very common to witness avalanches. Take some photos, enjoy your box lunch and the well-deserved rest. Descend the same path back to the Italiano camp and then to Paine Grande.
When you arrive at Paine Grande, you must board the catamaran that will take you back to Pudeto, where you will take a private transfer to return to Puerto Natales.

Perito Moreno glacier is a sight to behold and one of the most wonderful places where I have been. The trip from Puerto Natales is long, about 5 hours each way and you have to go up and down the bus in each of the border crossings (in and out of Chile and in and out of Argentina), but it is definitely worth it! If you can, you should also do the navigation, as you get a different perspective on the glacier from way up close. Accessibility-wise, the bus is a regular highway bus and it is not wheelchair accessible. All border stops require to walk or roll on uneven ground full of small pebbles/rocks. Access ramps to border controls are in extremely poor condition, as there is missing concrete and plenty of cracks. Once at Perito Moreno, there is a wheelchair accessible itinerary on the “pasarelas”, which is quite good, as it is long and you have good views from it, though a bit steep to go back for manual wheelchair users. Boat navigation is not wheelchair accessible (about 15 steps in total split in two different sections), but feasible if you can manage steps. Due to these accessibility issues, we had to cancel one of our tickets a couple of days in advance, but Torres del Paine Adventure did great and gave us a full refund for said ticket. All in all, we definitely recommend Torres del Paine Adventure and the activity to Perito Moreno, if you’re ok with steps.

All the activities that we did with Torres del Paine Adventure were fantastic. Landscapes were magnificent and very different from what you can see in Europe. Our reservation process was also seamless with Pradic, who was attentive to our needs throughout the whole trip. The trip was definitely worth it. Having said that, there was a lack of accessibility information on some of the activities, which would have helped our experience and our decision making as wheelchair users. Overall, accessibility was not good and, even though we managed to do most of them, they are not apt for all wheelchair users. Nevertheless, the agency is really keen on listening to our feedback to make accessibility improvements in the future. If you contact them from now on, they will surely have a bit more accessibility information on the following activities: Magdalena Island, King Penguin, Torres del Paine full day, Perito Moreno and Balmaceda & Serrano glaciers.

Don't be fooled - we significantly overpaid for a standard tour. This is a standard ferry tour which can be booked directly with the ferry company for $85. This tour company charges an 88% markup on that price, but offers no additional service or value. Paying the same price with other travel companies offer faster boats, smaller groups, and more wildlife viewing options. If you want this tour, book directly with the ferry company or choose a tour company that takes a more reasonable overhead cut.

Hello Michael, we're sorry your experience was not what you expected. We don't know where you are getting this prices from but we definitely don't take 88% markup on the tours. However, we do offer extra services such as finding you availability for your dates during high season, securing spots, booking management, private customer service, rescheduling in case of bad weather conditions and easy and secure payment process. That being said everyone is welcome to book with other companies and research in the wide internet but it's unlikely they will find availability during high season or get connected with transport to the piers and offer as much as we do to have a worry-free holiday :) Kind regards, Torres del Paine Adventure Team

Fantastic! Not only were the tours amazing, but Pradic Rojas’ help in planning the trip was invaluable! I highly recommend reaching out to him to get all the right advice. He goes above and beyond. The tours were well planned. The guides were excellent, and they served delicious breakfasts and snacks. It was very impressive. These are the best group tours that I have ever taken.
