This tour includes:
It does not include:
These are all included: your hotel, airport transfers, tours, admissions, transportation, breakfasts and three lunches.
You will need at least $170-$200, to pay for:
1. Three dinners - average $10-$20 each.
2. Visa - $25 USD for your visa upon arrival.
3. Tips - You can estimate these at $115, and here is a breakdown:
DRIVERS- Airport transfers -$4 USD x 2 = $8
DRIVERS - Daily tours - $5 USD x 3 = $15
LUGGAGE PORTERS - $2 USD x 2 = $4
AIRPORT AGENTS - $5 USD x 2 = $10
RESTAURANT STAFF - $3 USDx6 = $18
TOUR GUIDES - $20 USD per day x 3 days = $60
You will need more money if you choose any of these optional offerings:
· Optional Sound and Light Show at the Pyramids: lights illuminate the ancient monuments. $45.
· Optional entry inside the Great Pyramid – 360 Egyptian pounds (about $22)
· Optional entry into the Mummy Room in the Egyptian Museum - 180 Egyptian pounds (about $11)
· Optional photo permit inside the Egyptian Museum - 50 Egyptian pounds (about $3)
You will also need money for drinks and souvenirs, and only you know how much you’ll need for those!!
Merchants in the souks do not take credit cards, so you will need cash for purchases in the marketplaces. (Larger stores and shops for larger/better quality items such as rugs, jewelry, papyrus, alabaster, and essential oils DO take credit cards).
I recommend bringing a bunch of one dollar bills (25-50) to use for tips and small purchases.
This program is active. Walking is done over uneven surfaces and steps. Expect most days of sightseeing to require three to four hours of walking as well as a considerable time standing. Our vehicles have set drop off and pick up points, that result in extra walking to and from the sights. The pacing is active as many sites are included.
As you get off the plane and head towards passport control, you will see our airport agent holding a sign with your name on it. He will help you get your Egyptian visa, lead you through VIP passport control, through baggage claim, and then escort you to your hotel across from the Great Pyramids!
