Experience our world-class yoga teacher certification program in an unparralled setting, with fire and cacao ceremonies, zip-lining, hiking to waterfalls and life long friendship and connection.  This program includes our full training, with hands on assisting, Warrior Goddess training,  meditation, asana, philosophy, alignment, anatomy, leadership development and much more. Additionally, we will be training several local villagers and working on a project to leave behind a lasting legacy and impact in the local community.

As a 200 Hour and 300 Hour Yoga Alliance approved school,  DDY offers world class training in a supportive learning environment. Practice. Lead. Teach. will give you the tools, confidence and skill to teach an effective and inspiring power vinyasa yoga class in the tradition of Baron Baptiste.  

As a teacher graduate, you will learn the physical, energetic, and spiritual implications of yoga, as well as the importance of your way of being— how to live an authentic, essential life. Led by Certified Baptiste teacher Shelley Lowther and other DDY Senior Teachers, this program is appropriate for practitioners of every level.  This is a physically, mentally and emotionally challenging training that is a must for anyone wanting to share the practice of yoga, as well as those who simply wish to deepen their own understanding of the practice.

The DDY training is designed to prepare you to be a confident, effective yoga instructor. Each session covers a different unit of study and includes asana, lecture, group discussion, and small-group exercises.

The aim of this program is to create exceptional teachers, Not only will you leave our program prepared to teach, you will also be able to stand in front of a room of people and share openly and authentically.   You will gain invaluable insight into your own way of being. At DDY, we believe that the best yoga teachers are those who connect with their students, who speak authentically and from the heart, and who are comfortable in their own skin, regardless of who or what is around them. Through the practices and techniques of Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga, you will learn to identify the obstacles in your life and gain the tools to become your most powerful self, both in and out of the yoga studio.

DDY has a strict attendance policy and attendance is required at all Teacher Training sessions. . For every 1-4 hours missed you will need to schedule a one hour private, at a rate of $150. For every 4-8 hours missed, you will need to schedule a 2 hour private, at a rate of $250.  Workshops can be made up at other locations when available.  We're happy to work with you on this to ensure that you can get all of the information that is missed. The maximum amount of days missed can be no more than 2 days.  No refunds are available in case of chronic absences.

Dancing Dogs Yoga is an accredited Yoga Alliance Teacher Training School. Students who successfully complete our training can register with Yoga Alliance as either a 200-hour or 300-hour certified teacher.

Dancing Dogs Yoga is a Registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance at the 200 and 300 Hour levels.  We have been teaching powerful and transformational  teacher training programs since 2012. We offer both RYT-200 and RYT-500 designations.  Students who successfully complete our programs are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance.  

The Tree House Cabins are spread across a beautiful valley that is safely tucked away in the heart of the tropical Caribbean jungle. The cabins are connected by various rope bridges and jungle paths that are all designed to emphasize and enhance an intimate connection with nature and separation from the modern world. The valley is breezy and virtually mosquito free which allows our guests to be able to comfortably enjoy the open-air design. 

What does tuition include?

Your tuition includes our world famous 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training, manual, yoga and workshops, as well as room and board at the Dominican Treehouse Village. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served buffet style and feature chicken, beef, and vegetarian dishes that rotate daily throughout the week.   Please indicate any special dietary needs as they can be accommodated with advanced notice, please indicate at acceptance.  Please see below for all of the information!
