The 6 days and 5 nights Zanzibar adventure takes you to tropical sand beaches of Zanzibar; The Island which is famous for its mix of exotic sand beaches, famous aromatic spice plantations like cloves, turmeric, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemongrass and black pepper, different history and historical site in Stone Town, diverse culture and not forgetting the birth place of Freddie Mercury!

Meals are in full board bases (Bed, Dinner, Breakfast and Lunch) in your accommodations except day 2 of Stone Town Tour and Spice tour where you will have local spice lunch during the tour in Zanzibar.

Accommodation based on sleeping in a double or twin room with 2 people sharing and single room for solo person for adults over the age of 16 years at the time of travel.

Prices are per person, based on single and double/twin accommodation and during travel in Low season. Seasonal surcharges and blackout dates will apply, Limited seats/spaces and all pricing is subject to change and availability.

Stone Town and Spice tour
Today you will have time to explore the magnificent and multicultural city Stone Town City (Mji Mkongwe in Swahili), with of mix beautiful architecture and history. You will visit different places like House of Wonders the first largest building to be built in Zanzibar in 1883 by the Sultan Barghash bin Said al-Busaidi, and was the first house to have an elevator in East Africa, also The Old Fort and Ngome Kongwe oldest historical buildings in Zanzibar, where the construction materials of these houses consisted of a combination of coral rag, Stones, Concrete slabs, Mangrove shoots and steel beams. Also you will able to visit former slaves market and Darajani Market. It is also the birth place of world famous Freddie Mercury.

Later on you will visit Zanzibar spice plantation and you will see and learn how cinnamons, peppers, nutmegs, cloves and vanilla are grown and get to try some too. You will also get to learn how spices are used in local dishes and medicine. In the afternoon you will enjoy a local Zanzibar spice lunch.

Today after breakfast you will visit villages for Mama Zanzibar Tour, the tour that offers an authentic and immersive experience the local culture and traditions of Zanzibar women (Mama Zanzibar in Swaahili). This tour allows you to peel back the layers of local women in Zanzibar and learn about the handcrafts they produce.

You can also see how they produce seaweed soaps, carpets, baskets and belts, and if you decide to purchase something you will be contributing directly to the success of their projects. In the afternoon you will have time to enjoy and experience the local typical taste of traditional Zanzibar lunch during the tour.

After lunch you will head to Chwaka Bay for a half-day tour Jozani Forest, the jungle of Red colobus monkeys, bush babies, duikers and beautiful birds and butterflies.

Our tour was one of the best we have ever made. We had high expectations and they were filled, even exceeded. The tour was a good combination of seeing immense number of animals and nice nature on safari, getting to know cultures of local tribes and having relaxing time on the sundy beach of Zanzipar. The arrangements worked as planned. We had kind and knowledgeables guides, different types of accomodations, all well-equipped and clean, almost too much food, tasty although often similar. The long drives on the bumpy roads in the national parks gave us more than enough "African massage", I must admit. On the other hand, that gave us the best chance to see the animals in their real environment. We are more than pleased to recommend Laitolya Tours to all potential customers!
