About this trip

Are you a flexible traveler? Do you love hiking no matter what the conditions are? Would you rather sacrifice an evening yoga session for a sunset on top of a mountain if the situation called for it? Do you like getting to know people but also love exploring at your own pace?

Then this adventure retreat is for you.

This is the ultimate adventure retreat for the passionate about hiking yogi. We'll be staying in a gorgeous house in the town of Springdale located on the West side of the park where you can wake up and be first on the trails. We are less than .5 miles from Zion National Park main entrance and 500 feet from the nearest Free Shuttle stop! It is 5 minutes by foot to seven different restaurants, a grocery store, gift shops, and more.

If there's enough interest we'll plan an afternoon in Bryce Canyon National Park where we can hike among the hoodoos. Escalante isn't too far away as well for those wanting to explore the slot canyons there.

After a long day of exploring come back to base camp and cook a hot meal in the gourmet kitchen or hang out on the back porch under the stars. Daily yoga will compliment the activities and allow us to connect as a group before and after embarking on our adventures.

From my previous trip to Zion I can say the number one requirement for those attending is flexibility. Many of the hikes in the park (Narrows, Angel's Landing) are weather dependent and while I try and build a schedule our plans may change day to day based on weather.  A rental car is strongly recommended so you can explore at your leisure. The closest airport to fly into is St. George or it's about a 10 hour drive from Denver.

Those attending the retreat should have a moderate fitness level as the majority of the hikes in the park are strenuous.

Getting there

The closest airports to Zion Canyon are Saint George Municipal Airport (SGU) serviced by Skywest, Delta, and United (SGU), 1 hour south, and McCarran International Airport (LAS), 2.5 hours south.

Saint George Shuttle runs daily from Las Vegas to Saint George, UT, and Red Rock Shuttle (435-635-9104) or Zion Guru can pick you up in Saint George and transport to Nama-Stay (inquire for pricing). Saint George Express offers daily transport from Las Vegas to Zion Canyon with one change over. We have found it best to call them directly for that reservation.

Rental cars are available at either airport. April through October, the free Zion Canyon Shuttle, operating in Zion Canyon and Springdale, is excellent for basic transportation through town or into Zion Canyon for many of the park's famous hikes.

A private shuttle transfer can be arranged as well for a nominal fee.

Is there a grocery store nearby?

Sol Foods is 200 yards and less than 3 minutes walk up Juniper Lane. They have a full-service grocery store with a deli, produce section, bakery, and more. "Down the hill" in LaVerkin large grocers include Dave's Market (21 miles), and further yet, Lin's Market (25 miles), Wal-Mart (28 miles), and Costco (35 miles). Those driving in can pick up groceries along the way and re-supply at Sol Foods very conveniently.

Second house rental option

I will limit this retreat to a max of 15 but if the Nama-stay house fills up then I will be renting a second house next door. The purpose of this will be to have the cooking and guests stay at one house while the yoga practice and gathering space will be held at the Nama-stay. The second house has 6 bedrooms:

Basement room: 2 bedrooms. One with a queen bed and one with a queen bed and a twin bed

Main level room: 3 bedrooms. Two rooms with a single queen bed and one room with two queen beds

Loft room: one bedroom with 2 queen beds and a private bathroom with a tub and shower.

Pricing for bedrooms will be marked accordingly.

The retreat and Natalie exceeded my expectations! She was easy going, yet super organized and SO fun!! It was so wonderful to not have to plan anything while we were there. It was great to just show up and enjoy yoga, then breakfast and then return for a waterfall hike, etc. and there was no pressure at all if anyone wanted to skip things and chill. I went with my step daughter and soon to be daughter in law and we had a BLAST! All of the women in the group were wonderful, kind, inspirational women. I will definitely book another retread with Natalie!!

I couldn't have dreamed up a better trip! Natalie has a way of bringing together the most incredible individuals, and we all bonded this weekend over a series of activities that were equally rejuvenating and exciting. Plus, Telluride is one of the most beautiful places I've ever visited. 10/10 would recommend it!

I didn't realize how much I needed something like this until I was there. Great group of women, great food, and wonderful options to try new things, but also zero pressure if you just need some down time.

Had followed Yogi Magee on Instagram for a while and was determined to make one of her adventure trips. Recently attended her “Om in the Ojo” retreat to Santa Fe and I can not positively rave enough! Natalie was so warm and welcoming to everyone. I am not an experienced yogi but she never made me feel self conscious or intimidated. She encouraged me and built my self confidence with each session. Natalie has everything planned perfectly and precisely but every activity was relaxed and flowed effortlessly. There was no pressure to participate in every activity though I could not get enough!! With her encouragement, I deeply bonded with the other women on the retreat and have kept in touch since the adventure. One of the things I loved the most was she had her friend, a extremely talented photographer, capture the whole trip with gorgeous pictures I will treasure forever. Oh, and don’t even get me started on the awesome swag bag!!! I highly recommend Yogi Adventures and can not wait to go on another trip she hosts!
