The Outsider's Iceland trip was beyond words! The adventure was the most amazing. The itinerary, lodging, staff and tour guide was second to none. Northern Lights are a small part when you see this Winter Wonderland. I highly recommend this trip and Outsider's Adventure Club. You come away with old friends, new friends and a top notch experience. Joanne

The Outsiders Iceland Adventure was amazing. We were accompanied by a very knowledgeable guide as we traveled along the coast of Iceland and discovered the many wonders of waterfalls, icebergs, geysers among the natural landscape. We spent a few days afterwards in Reykjavik exploring the city, the Sky Lagoon, the Perle Museum, the numerous neighborhoods and sights. We even had a glimpse of the Northern Lights after our celebration on New Year’s eve. Everything was planned perfectly. The Outsiders leaders on this trip were very attentive to everyone’s needs. We made new friends from different US states and greeted old friends. This was my third trip with Outsiders. I look forward to the next.

This was one of the most magical trips! There was a wonderful mix of hitting all of the big sights, but also plenty of down time. Christine and Jean were really stellar leaders, and the whole group was inclusive, and meshed very well. It set the bar very high for future trips I take with the Outsiders crew!

Overall it was a great trip. The islands were so beautiful and I loved the activities and people. However, there were some significant lapses in communication and logistical planning that at times put a damper on things. For example, being told to be ready to go at a specific time and leaving 45 mins to an hour later, which caused us to run behind schedule. This led us to have hardly any free or getting ready time and it felt disrespectful to people who put in effort to be on time and then still be so delayed. I also wish there was better communication about changes in the daily itinerary. I understand that things change unexpectedly and we have to be adaptable, but there should be clear communication about it. I felt like every time I asked a trip leader a question about the itinerary or things we needed, I got only partial information and it varied from person to person. For example, being told at the start of the first hike that it was going to be an hour and not strenuous, then it ended up being a fairly strenuous 3 hour hike. Finally, being more up front about additional costs such as meals, the hot springs, and only finding out the morning of the Pico flight that we needed to arrange our own taxis to the airport. These critiques are meant to be constructive. I still had an amazing time and got to experience some once in a lifetime things. Hopefully you are able to enact some of these changes for the next trip to have it run a little bit smoother. Thanks again for a great week!
