Absolutely amazing once again. Orchard cottage was a real treat this year and the hosting just fantastic. Great group of ladies and the pilates, sound bath, fire pit, hot tubs and the food was all wonderful. Olivia makes a mean poached egg! Thank you everyone for the experience.

Lower Marsh Farm is a haven of peace and quiet at the end of a country lane in Landulph which is not far from Saltash railway station (£27.50 in a cab). The countryside surrounding the farm is quiet, full of wildlife and hedgerows, quite hilly and a bit muddy - just as it should be. There is access to a pebbled beach on the estuary about a five-minute walk away. The farm has peacocks and peahens, ducks and chickens running round the farmyards which are immaculate. There is a hot tub too - and it is hot! Saltash has the nearest shops so make sure you bring everything you need with you. I recently spent the weekend there on a Soul Pilates Revive retreat, ably, knowledgeably and sensitively run by Nic Lenny of the Bristol Soul Pilates studios which I have been attending for three years. Not only did we have fun pilates sessions, we had a sound bath, a fire circle and a meditation and reiki drumming session, which explains the 'Soul Pilates' name. This pilates retreat is good for your mind as well as your body. We stayed in the Bulrush Barn which had a fully equipped kitchen (tea, coffee and milk supplied), dining table, sofa and armchair and a wood burner. The bedroom sleeps three - it is actually three single beds (the website picture shows a double and a single). The bathroom has a large shower, sink and loo. Everything was spotless. There are books and games galore to hand - not that you will get much time to use them. The barn also has a wood fired hot tub. Just fyi we lit the fire at 1pm and by 10.30pm it was tepid. Not up for tending the fire on an hourly basis throughout the night, we gave up. There is a big woodshed if you need more fuel. If you would like it lit ready for your arrival it is an extra £150. The vegetarian food is all home made with simple homegrown ingredients and was absolutely delicious. Bring your own wine if required. All in all I thoroughly recommend this weekend away from the noise and smoke of the city. It was wonderful and I will definitely do it again. A huge thank you to all involved with the running of it.

What wonderful retreat led by a wonderful lady. I really enjoyed my 3 days with Nic and the ladies. The tuition was first class, and the overall experience was much better than my last experience last year. Accommodation was really good - one grumble; no chair to sit and read in but other wise comfortable and more than adequate for the purpose. The food was delicious and served really well and with a good choice. Access to tea and coffee 24/7 was much appreciated. Massage by Lucy was superb and hot tub experience extremely good. Being the only man I appreciated how the ladies were always willing to talk to me and socialise with me and not treat me as an outsider. I was also pleased that there were ladies of my generation there. Overall, a wonderful experience, one that I am ready to repeat in the future.
