What an experience! From start to finish, I was completely and utterly enthralled. I have never been on a guided trip before, and I was curious about how I would like it, and I LOVED it! I loved the stress-free flow of the journey and not having to worry about the logistics of transport, reservations, and time management; we could go with the flow and enjoy. The whole trip was so well planned out, and I never felt like I missed out on any aspect of the Northern region of Italy; I wish I had more days! This trip was a treasure trove of memories and learning experiences. From the intimate winery tastings and tours to the enlightening area tours, there was never a moment of boredom. I absorbed so much about the art and science of fine wine, the world of truffles, and the authentic taste of hazelnut butter. The introduction to Vermouth was a revelation, and I am now a devoted Sera Vezza enthusiast. Every meal was a culinary masterpiece, and the accommodations were not just comfortable but also unique and awe-inspiring. Every detail was meticulously planned and flawlessly executed. If I could, I would embark on this journey of discovery every year! Sarah is an outstanding host who made sure everything was taken care of. She is the absolute sweetest human being, and I adore her caring nature and her love of what she does. This truly shines when experiencing her tour. I couldn't do another tour without her as the host!

This was an amazing trip! (I have traveled to Europe/Italy many times with my family, but this was my first tour in which lodging, transport, and experiences were lined up by someone else.) We had a wonderful group (all women) and were able to visit/sample/taste such interesting local products, such as cheeses, hazelnuts, and of course wine (including sparking wines). Having access to those artisans made the trip something I could never have arranged by myself. The focus on women meant that our group was made of friends and family (sisters, mother/daughter, friends) which kept the "couple-syndrome" to a minimum-- after a day or two, everyone was very comfortable with each other. Our guide, Sarah, even set us up with a "buddy," with helped get to know each other on day 1. The van driver and local tour guides for all but the Milan-Stresa part was also female, which made the whole thing very comfortable. We had a couple of rainy days, but even so, the Piedmont landscape was incredible. The people we met at our tastings were clearly very focused on making the best product they can, given the historical production methods and our current climate challenges. Local guides in explained everything one might want to know (and entertained my very specific questions too). There were many ways to adapt the tour to your own needs, including more or less exploration of a place, dinners/lunches on our own, etc. Overall, I was really impressed and would happily take another tour with Sarah!
