As part of our individual inner quest for more peace, joy and love in our life, we will journey through this rite of passage together and find ourselves initiated into a new version of ourselves.
Rites of passage mark a ceremonial event, existing in all historically known societies and indigenous cultures, guiding an individual through an important step in their life.
During our time together at Aruna, we want to provide the space for you to reconnect to your most intimate truth and shed the layers of your identity holding you back to walk through this threshold. This sacred space is created as a space of remembrance for the love of our Mother Nature and all living beings.
This retreat is an honoring of our collective human memory for ceremony & ritual, the interconnectedness of life, the 7 sacred directions and elements that make the tapestry of our existence. We will gather in a circle to remember that we are all part of this human experience, interconnected and equal.
It is a sacred space to explore the depths of your inner landscape and move out of our inner limitations and back into wholeness.
Tucked away in the beautiful green countryside just about 1,5hr from Berlin, we will ground ourselves firmly rooted to the earth, unplug from our daily lives and rekindle our connection to the natural and unseen worlds.
This is a space to feel in fullness, to let go of old versions of yourself, to make new meaningful connections and celebrate life amongst family.
We take you on a journey of weaving ceremony, ritual and somatics and creative exploration to grow, heal, transform and empower ourselves and one another.
We believe in the power of movement and how somatics is a huge indicator to what is going on within our bodies on a physical and mental level. Reconnecting to the language of our body, we expand our capacity for self-healing and expansion. Allowing ourselves to meet with the wisdom of our bodies can be a hugely releasing process where we can begin to let go of stuck energies and old stories and come into the arrival of inner truth and aliveness.
This journey is anchored in an embodied approach to decondition you from being led by the mind to gently bring you back to your heart center and how to truly live from this place in your everyday life.
The Temazcal (or Inipi)l is an archaic rite of passage, part of an old tradition of trance, prayer, health and community of the Native American and Mesoamerican cultures. It consists of a circular covered structure where people sit around a crevice in which hot stones are deposited. As in a sauna, the stones are bathed in herbal-infused water, generating a sweating effect and opening the skin to the healing powers of the medicinal herbs.
The temazcal ritual takes place in the dark and is accompanied by powerful songs, facilitating an intense journey towards ourselves, our resistance and our ability to heal through our own strength. The company of all those present also produces a deep process of community and belonging, which is why it is an excellent ritual to start the retreat, where sweating together with others creates a beautiful synergy that helps us get out of the hustle and bustle of daily life.
The way to facilitate temazcales in our retreat is through love and compassion. It will not be a ritual that is too hard or heavy, but we will guide it in a way that everyone feels the power of this beautiful ritual from a tolerable and kind place, to purify the spirit and take us to a space of ceremony and joint sacredness.
