This 3 day Yoga & Wild Swimming retreat is held in a cosy and creative converted Chapel in a small village on the banks of the River Wye in Mid Wales.
During this retreat we will be looking at the practice of open water swimming and its connection to your yoga practice. Both on your mat, and in the water we will focus on awareness of movement, breathing, and mindfulness.
"The thrill of plunging - or dipping a toe into water brings joy, confidence, adventure and friendship. It can wash away stress and sadness, pain and grief. Here, water is a great healer, a place to feel gloriously, elementally alive and in touch with yourself, with others and with nature."
Anna Deacon
Throughout the retreat you will also be encouraged and guided though the exhilarating ritual of wild swimming. This will include morning and afternoon swims, as well as a night swimming session under the stars, at specially chosen local spots.
All swimming will be guided by experienced and qualified open water teachers.
The swimming programme is structured for both beginners and experienced swimmers and our teachers will guide you though the steps to help you acclimatise to the water, using breathing and mindfulness techniques.
Your hosts, Graham and Matthew, will ensure that you have an enjoyable and memorable stay.
