About this trip

During a 6-day retreat in silence, you will directly experience the profound inner transformation that meditation brings. (The full progra consistes of 10 days, so consider the possibility to extend your stay).

You can re-discover the way back into the Heart and spontaneously open to Love, Joy, Clarity, and Gratitude. ..

This is the path of the Spiritual Heart – Hridaya. This method is a unique integration of Advaita Vedanta, Classical Yoga and Shaivist Tantra.

In the advanced stages of practice, all paths of authentic spiritual traditions meet harmoniously and merge into the same ineffable Reality.

The retreat starts with the basics of meditation practice in the context of the non-dual philosophy of Hridaya Yoga. We take the heart, as the centre point of the experience of self as the foundation of the practice. Meditation here is not practiced as a concentration technique to control and silence the mind, but as a practice of opening to deeper and deeper layers of self awareness, self acceptance leading towards an unconditional, loving embrace of ourselves, and of life.

The program aims to create an experience of deep interiorization and intimacy with oneself through silence, relative solitude and the absence of distraction. The intimacy with oneself fostered by these conditions facilitates the blossoming of the heart by which openness to a living relationship with the essence of ones being becomes obvious.

You will learn a form of Self-Enquiry meditation inspired by the non-dual teachings of the great sage Ramana Maharshi.

Our aspiration is to make this space and the retreats accessible to everyone, so we try to keep the prices for course / food/ accommodation as low as possible.

No previous meditation or yoga retreat experience is necessary as this retreat is designed for beginners and advanced practitioners alike.

We offer wholesome vegan and vegetarian meals and desserts, based on the principles of the ancient Indian medicine Ayurveda. It takes into consideration not only psychophysiological type, but also the area where you live, season and time of the day.  All meals are designed by Irina, our in-house nutritionist.  This area is particularly abundant with fruits and vegetables because of the various climate zones in the same region. This was my first retreat ever, nevermind silent retreat, and I have to say it was impressive. Banking with strangers was OK because I didn't feel obligated to communicate. The food was copious and satisfying. The teachings were formated in a way for new students to understand and questions were welcomed. I apreciated to stricked schedule because it didn't allow me to worry about anything. Anyone new to this please keep in mind you will be tired at the end of each day. As far as any constructive criticism I might have, I would say the stairwell to the meditation room is daunting for anyone with bad knees, but the family is always happy to help. Thank you all for your grace and love.

Truly life changing experience. It was an exceptional retreat with Hridaya Family. I was a complete beginner. I signed up for a 10-day silent meditation retreat, even though I have never meditate before. The center is located in a magical forest, away from the city noise, exposed to a beautiful nature. People who work in the kitchen supply with an absolutely delicious food. Sasha and Kyle (two wonderful souls, our teachers) made the journey smooth, interesting and very rich in knowledge. They are authentic, have more than 15 yrs of experience and a lot of passion and devotion to their spiritual practice. I finished the retreat with a calm mind, being open for what life has to bring me and encouraged to deepen my spiritual practice. Since then I’ve been meditating daily, which has brought a lot of balance to my life.

I had been wanting to attend a silent retreat for a number of years and when I found an advert for Hridaya centre, only three days prior to the retreat start date, I knew it was the right place. I had a feeling and went with it. I am so grateful I did. The deep love and care for us was evident the moment I arrived. The place, delicious food and wonderful people working made this such a nourishing experience, and the teaching was incredible. I have experienced a significant deepening in my understanding of spiritual teachings due to the way they were presented.. with clarity and relevance to my western life and mind. I feel a shift in direction and purpose, more trust in letting go and more connection to the creative potential in us all. I would HIGHLY recommend Hridaya family yoga and meditation centre for anyone on any part of their spiritual/life journey. There is no part of existing in this world that would not be supported by time spent at Hridaya x

This 10-day silent retreat was a rare and authentic experience—with potentially transformative outcomes for those who attend. Set on the edge of a beautiful, forested valley, the surroundings offered the perfect space for meditation, introspection, and deep relaxation. Sasha and Kyle, the retreat's teachers, brought a balance of contrasting energies, keeping lectures fresh (and at times entertaining). Both delivered clear and engaging dialogues on tantric philosophy and non-dualism, skillfully weaving in elements of Sufism and Christian traditions. Their non-dogmatic approach encouraged us to explore and practice in ways that resonated most deeply on an individual level—offering the freedom to use what worked best for each of us. The retreat staff were incredibly supportive and warm (and cooked absolutely delicious food—thank you!). Every participant shared meaningful insights, with many experiencing profound shifts toward greater presence, joy, and freedom. The peaceful setting, the opportunity to connect with nature, and the genuine care in every detail made this an unforgettable experience. A heartfelt thank you to the Hridaya family—I hope to see you all again someday soon! 😊

I did a 6 day retreat on Jan 2, 2025 and it was an absolutely amazing experience. All aspects of Hridaya Family deserve 5 stars, the place, the warmth and wisdom of the staff, the food, the care, but more so the coursework and the schedule of the retreat. I came out feeling absolutely connected to my spiritual heart! Thank you! will definitely return for other retreats.
