About this trip

New Year Acro House In Paradise

Are you obsessed with Acro and you wish you could do it 25/8? Then this is your dream come true. Join 15 other Acro enthusiasts on one of the most beautiful and remote islands in the world, Gili Meno.

This experience promises not just a chance to “level up” your game, but an opportunity to forge meaningful connections with fellow Acroyogis. You'll work closely with, fun, like-minded individuals who share your passion, and determination to improve their skills.

Imagine sunset gatherings at the beach, where you can reflect on your progress, exchange tips, and inspire one another as you delve deeper into the world of Acroyoga. Together, you will level up not only your skills but also your community spirit, making this a truly unforgettable week.

The pooling of diverse perspectives and skills will elevate everyone's practice, ensuring that each participant leaves with newfound abilities and confidence.

Is the Acro House For You?

If you love Acro… There will be days where we jam for 4-6+ hours, and some of us will be wanting more. If this sounds like heaven to you, join us.

**This is NOT a beginner-friendly event. For the better enjoyment of all our guests, we require everyone to have previous exposure to acrobatics. Each participant should have attended at least 8-10 Acro classes/workshops and multiple jams. These requirements are in place to maximize the fun and safety of your fellow Acroyogis :). We will be “throwing” high-level skills.**

The Skills -

  • Complex L-Basing Flows. Forget about your “ninja-stars”, and “four-steps”, let’s learn new, original, and complex flows with unique entrees and exits.
  • Icarian!
Castaways, Front Tucks, Pizza Spins, Pizza Spins with 360, Bed To Bird, and MOREE…
  • Standing!
Foot To Hand & Hand To Hand. Either full skills or progressions (Reverse F2H/H2H).
  • Dance Lifts!
We will be working on complex moves, but most importantly, how to connect each move into a standing flow.

New Year, New YOU -

What better way to start a year than on a paradise island, surrounded by like-minded people doing what you love? Exactly!!! Let us start the year with a New Year's Ceremony. Let’s write our goals for the coming months and let’s reflect together about our past year. Together, let’s get rid of the old & welcome in the new.

Community -

The Acro community is known worldwide for being welcoming and inclusive. Acroyogis exude a genuine eagerness to share their passion and knowledge, offering guidance and encouragement without hesitation. There is a sense of camaraderie that is both comforting and inspiring, fostering connections that extend far beyond the practice itself.

Overall, I would describe the trip as a fun time. While I was not as involved in the yoga portions of the retreat, I enjoyed that the trip was a "chose your own adventure" model where you had the freedom to map out your own itinerary. I do feel some of the "all-inclusive components" were missed or not accurately portrayed leading up to the event; I think the food that was included could have been better and with bigger portions, and other snacks/small bites and drinks should have been available in the villa throughout the week (aside from whatever we purchased on our own). I don't think I anticipated having to purchase as many things as I did while staying in the villa. Lastly, I think the system of transportation could be improved; travel time/space/coordinating could have been better if larger vehicles had been rented for transport in/out of the villa. I would attend another retreat (depending on location), but I'd likely secure my own lodging and stay more local to the activities, etc. I also feel it's important to ensure that any facilitators of very specific practices (like Cacao ceremony) should be led by someone of the originating culture/ancestry because those are key components that make those experiences the most impactful. Overall, the retreat was fine, but there just needs to be more intentional thought put into what we're all doing and the methods. Thank you!

Hey man, thanks for the review. I'm glad you had a great time with us, and that you enjoyed all non-yoga activities we had. Everyone loved you and your unique energy was of great addition to the group <3. About the food, yes. 100% we should have had bigger portions! The chefs miscalculated the amount a couple of times. Sorry about that! About the transport... because we were so deep in the Tulum jungle, it made things a bit harder when leaving the villa, but that was part of the experience of being away from the city and in nature. I should have done a better job explaining that we were deep in the jungle and that the roads were not in the best conditions. We did have 2 cars and we did our very best to accommodate :). Lastly, every meal & activity we did was included... All meals, all rides, Cenotes, entry to Mayan Ruins, entry to beach ticket, Cacao Ceremony, Sound Healing, Temazcal Experience, & all yoga workshops were included & paid for by us. The only thing that was not included was the one dinner when we went out to the city, as well as any drinks you had (and that was explained prior to the retreat starting). Sorry you felt that was not accurately portrayed. I will 100% do better with communication next time, and I will also have many more snacks options for everyone :D. Thanks again for all these feedback! I really appreciate it. See you at the next one!
