Overall, I would describe the trip as a fun time. While I was not as involved in the yoga portions of the retreat, I enjoyed that the trip was a "chose your own adventure" model where you had the freedom to map out your own itinerary. I do feel some of the "all-inclusive components" were missed or not accurately portrayed leading up to the event; I think the food that was included could have been better and with bigger portions, and other snacks/small bites and drinks should have been available in the villa throughout the week (aside from whatever we purchased on our own). I don't think I anticipated having to purchase as many things as I did while staying in the villa. Lastly, I think the system of transportation could be improved; travel time/space/coordinating could have been better if larger vehicles had been rented for transport in/out of the villa. I would attend another retreat (depending on location), but I'd likely secure my own lodging and stay more local to the activities, etc. I also feel it's important to ensure that any facilitators of very specific practices (like Cacao ceremony) should be led by someone of the originating culture/ancestry because those are key components that make those experiences the most impactful.
Overall, the retreat was fine, but there just needs to be more intentional thought put into what we're all doing and the methods. Thank you!

Hey man, thanks for the review.
I'm glad you had a great time with us, and that you enjoyed all non-yoga activities we had. Everyone loved you and your unique energy was of great addition to the group <3.
About the food, yes. 100% we should have had bigger portions! The chefs miscalculated the amount a couple of times. Sorry about that!
About the transport... because we were so deep in the Tulum jungle, it made things a bit harder when leaving the villa, but that was part of the experience of being away from the city and in nature. I should have done a better job explaining that we were deep in the jungle and that the roads were not in the best conditions. We did have 2 cars and we did our very best to accommodate :).
Lastly, every meal & activity we did was included... All meals, all rides, Cenotes, entry to Mayan Ruins, entry to beach ticket, Cacao Ceremony, Sound Healing, Temazcal Experience, & all yoga workshops were included & paid for by us. The only thing that was not included was the one dinner when we went out to the city, as well as any drinks you had (and that was explained prior to the retreat starting). Sorry you felt that was not accurately portrayed. I will 100% do better with communication next time, and I will also have many more snacks options for everyone :D.
Thanks again for all these feedback! I really appreciate it.
See you at the next one!
